( )  explores the disorienting effect of being in the soothing quietness with no horizon and 360° of complete white and the breakthrough of the artist into hypothermia.

Ward Roberts is an independent conceptual artist who creates exquisitely composed photographs drawing on themes such as the effects of loneliness and isolation in the modern world.

Woke to a world of silence and mist

Everything arbitrary.

A dusting jade covers the ground,

 buries blue mountains.

Torn between safety and danger

We are miles from anywhere

Orbed by a waining moon

It pierces the bones, silence prevails.

Softness of the landscape,

the pain of the weather.

sluggish thinking, amnesia,

uncontrollable laughter.

Breathe in the picture

a mirror, a bleating cry

accompanies the sun,

swallows the blame.
